User Biography

Simone Ciofi-Baffoni graduated in Chemistry in 1996, and received his PhD in Chemistry in 2000 at the University of Florence. He is now Associate Professor at the University of Florence since 2012. His research interest is focused on the molecular characterization of cellular pathways responsible of metal trafficking and metallo-protein maturation, through a multidisciplinary approach that integrates structural, interaction and dynamic information. His current research activities are largely devoted to the investigation of the molecular mechanisms at the basis of iron-sulfur protein biogenesis in human cells.
