CORBEL sets out to establish common infrastructure for biomedical research

02-Sep-2015

The CORBEL cluster projects started the 1st of September 2015 to establish common research infrastructure to support Europe's biomedical research community.

CORBEL (Coordinated Research Infrastructures Building Enduring Life-science Services) is a four-year €14.5 million EU projectthat will harmonise user access to biological and medical technologies, biological samples and data services, required by cutting-edge biomedical research.

The CORBEL consortium brings together eleven major ESFRI Biological and Medical Research Infrastructures (BMS RI) in Europe. Their resources include biological data, physical biobank samples, imaging facilities and molecular screening centres. The project's goal is to create a joint platform that will reduce redundancy and simplify project management, transforming the ability of users to deliver advanced, cross-disciplinary research in Europe.

Instruct is a partner of this project  financed by EU's HORIZON 2020 programme coordinated by ELIXIR and BBMRI
